The SPF
The French Phycological Society aims to encourage and develop the study of algae in metropolitan and overseas France, to facilitate the scientific connections of phycologists among themselves and with foreign phycologists, and to ensure the official representation of French phycologists in all international scientific connections.
Only subjects related to the scientific study of algae and their applications, or to the functioning of the Society, may be discussed within the Society.
SPF Membership
Membership in the French Phycological Society allows you to benefit from reduced rates for FEPS (Federation of European Phycological Societies) congresses, and in particular the European Phycological Congress (EPC) whose next one (EPC9) will take place in 2027 in Poland. It allows you to participate and vote at the annual general assembly of the association, and to apply for grants for young phycologists for congresses. The membership fees and donations allow the organization of the annual SPF workshop and the financing of the scholarships.
